Forever Grateful to God for

Saturday February 6th

( This is a piece of Gabe's artwork from Kindergarten)
Okay, this one is going to be short and sweet. That way I can get yesterday's and today's done at once. ......hopefully before Isaac wakes up again.

Today (yesterday) I am grateful to not have to get Gabe out to the bus. I am ready for spring!

For the smiles and laughter of my kids. They drive me totally crazy, but they have such beautiful smiles and laughs that can't help but make you smile.

For a new garbage can...yup, a garbage can. As hard as it is to believe, we have been using just a big black garbage bag since we moved in here. It is much nicer to have a garbage can. :)

A good first day back on program. A long way to go, but one day down!!!

Grateful to be back doing this blog. My days have been rather...ummmm frustrating. This is making me look back and have something good to say.

For getting to enjoy a movie in bed with my hubby. He did sleep through a good chunk, but nice anyway.

Friday February 5th

Getting this post in before bedtime....amazing :)

On this first friday in february I am grateful for a few moments of peace and quiet. I'm not soaking in a soothing bathtub, but its nice to have all 3 boys asleep and be able to do some "me" things.

Got signed up for Weight Watchers today. Starting fresh in the morning.

A nice visit with some cousins. Had been way too long:)

Zach's stories. How can you not laugh when he tells you one about pirate Moniqua(her name is Uniqua) searching the island for married treasure:)

Thursday February 4th

Day Three - looks like mornings might be what is going to work for me right now.

My five things I'm grateful for on Thursday February 4th are.....

My Neice Aubree.....This bundle of spunk and attitude made her debut in the world 6 years ago today. Happy Birthday beautiful girl:)

Groceries.....I am so thankful to be able to afford to buy groceries to feed our growing boys....now, taking them with me to do the shopping is another story.

My husband's understanding......I have been growing increasingly unhappy with myself and how I have allowed myself to regain a good portion of the weight I had lost before getting pregnant with Isaac. I have struggled with wanting to get back to Weight Watchers, but knowing we really couldn't afford it right now. My husband however has seen my unhappiness and has made it possible for me to rejoin WW now. I am very grateful.

Getting back to this blog....it has been along time, but I am glad to be back at it. I am hoping to get back to my other one as well very soon.

Free desks.......Gabe's school had some student desks that they were giving away free and I was able to get two (one for Gabe and one for Zach). Now they will have their own spaces to work. Both of them seem excited about it. Now I just have to figure out where I am putting them LOL

Enjoy your day!

Wednesday February 3rd - A New Day

Day two...almost let this one get by me, but here we go...

I am grateful that every day I can start again. No matter what happened yesterday, today is a new day and there is no reason I can't start fresh. What a blessing.

The love of my hubby. It doesn't matter how I am feeling about myself, he loves me, no matter what.

Our home. I still don't have everything put away from our move...in fact there are still boxes in every room, but its home. As long as I am with my husband and my boys, home is wherever we are.

A nap. Got to nap with my two youngest. Always a welcome bonus to the day.

For Gabe's encouragement. Several times lately he has told me that I make great supper. LOL...gotta love him.

What are you grateful for today?

My Boys

It is so hard to believe that it has been more than 6 months since I last posted on this blog. On my other one, 'Darkness to Life', its been even longer :( However, I choose not to dwell on that and begin fresh, right here, right now.

So.....Happy New Year!! We are already one month in to 2010. A new year...a new day! I want to get back to focusing on what is important. Find the good in each day, and thank God for it all, no matter whether its good or bad. Five things every day....lets go.

What am I grateful for in this brand new year???? SO VERY MUCH!!!!!

I truly have so much to be grateful/thankful for, but the first five I want to share in this new year are MY MOST IMPORTANT ones.

GOD.....I am so blessed to know my Papa. He has brought us through a really tough year, and continues to show us His love. I desire to know Him deeper, to trust Him completely, to let Him live His life through me, to see what He will do with ALL of me if I let Him. He has blessed me abundantly, and I am so grateful.

Gord.....My darling husband. We have been together for 17 1/2 years. We have been through ALOT. There have been many times that I didn't know if we were going to make it....but God is faithful, and by His grace we have a better, stronger, healthier, happier marriage than we have ever had. I love him deeper than I would ever have imagined possible.

Gabe.....My first born son. A blessing after almost 12 years of marriage. He has such a kind heart. He is sensitive and trusting. Full of energy, and love and hugs. Attitude, yup he has one and it gets bigger with every day of school. LOL I love when he whispers his secrets in my ear. He is a my big boy, and I pray that the mistakes I make with him he will forgive me for :)

Zach.....My second son. Loud, definitely loud. Zach does not know the meaning of quiet. But, he is so darn cute and has the absolute best laugh. Just thinking about it makes me smile. He is a brute, and will get his brothers in lots of trouble over the next many, many years. But, he is so generous with his snuggles and kisses. My second blessing.

Isaac.....My unexpected son. Isaac was a big surprise. One I wasn't sure I was ready for. He is 7 months old today. He is wonderful. He has a beautiful personality, my Gramma's red hair, bright eyes and a huge smile. I didn't expect him, he takes alot out of me, but I couldn't love him more. My third blessing!!!

I am so grateful to have my God and my family. I have been blessed with three wonderful boys. They stress me out, drive me crazy, and wear me out. But I love them will all the love a mother has. I worry about not being a good mom, but with God, and my loving husband, together we have an awesome, AWESOME family!

I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

And in the blink of an eye, another 8 days have flown by without me making a single post.
I have not managed to make this daily blog a priority. As I sit here thinking about that, it disappoints me. With all that goes on in our lives right now and the journey God has us on, I need to keep my focus off the bad, and onto the good, the beautiful, the fun, the funny, the precious, the miraculous.

So what am I grateful for today?

For the dryer that some wonderful friends gave us. It is so nice to be able to dry our laundry at home again!!

For the wonderful rib dinner my hubby made!! Totally yummy!

For Gord taking the boys out this morning to let me get a little more sleep. It didn't work as well as I had hoped because Isaac didn't want to stay asleep, but it was a great gesture anyway.

That Gord went with my sister to pick up my Aunt and Uncle from the Buffalo airport so that my mom didn't have to.

That we are one day closer to an offer on the house. Please Lord let it be enough.

Well, I was going to try and write some more, but Isaac is awake again and crying. Gotta run.

7/18/2009

Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted on here. It has been my intention to get back to posting every day, but I am really good at procrastinating. Regardless, I am here now, and I promise to do my best to make the effort to find the good in every day :)

So, more than a month and a half has gone by since my last post. ALOT has happened during that time. One of the things I am most grateful to God for is the safe arrival of our beautiful baby boy #3.

His name is Isaac Joshua Melville and he made his entrance into this world on July 2nd at 3:30am. At 9lbs he is my smallest baby :) I am so grateful that after all the trouble during my pregnancy that he is here, safe, and healthy.

I am grateful that his two older brothers have made the adjustment to having another member of the family like pros. I really thought we might have issues with our 3 year old, but everything has gone quite smoothly. Our 5 year old is making every effort to be helpful. They are totally in love with him, and proud to be BIG brothers :)

I am very blessed. I have a beautiful family.

I am grateful for a husband that loves me.

I am grateful for God's grace.

There is so much more that I am grateful for, but i'll save that for another day. As for today, I am grateful that God is in control of it all.

Love and prayers to all.
