February 18th

Our friends E and C arrived around lunchtime today.  So thankful to have them here for the weekend.

Thankful that my kids love E and C.  C read the boys their bedtime story tonight.  I should have had a camera.  They looked so cute.

For wonderful conversation.

That God works in our lives through this wonderful couple.  Love them.

 

February 17th

Tonight I am thankful that I was able to help out our neighbour.  She had to take one of her boys to emerg so we had her other son stay with us for a few hours.

That the boys were really good playing together.  Less fighting even with an extra little boy.  Fabulous.

Got dishes, vacuuming, sweeping, moping and a load of laundry done.  Cool!

Being able to sit and enjoy a cup of tea and some Big Bang Theory.  Fun.

My family gets to be together for the next 3 days.  No work for daddy, or school for the boys.  Yippee!

February 16th

I am thankful today that the week is almost over.  We have company coming this weekend and I can't wait :)

For Gord getting some needed sleep this morning.

I got a good nap today!! A couple hours this afternoon and it was SO nice.

Having cable.  I am loving having cable and am thoroughly enjoying watching design and renovation shows.

Meeting a new neighbour.  I got to meet another neighbour today.  She seems like a lovely woman and I hope that I will get to know her better.



February 15

Today I am thankful for simple dinners.  Pizza night in the Melville house tonight.  Yum

A nap.  It was VERY short but I was grateful to have even a little one.

Free long distance.  Now that we finally have our phone hooked up it is great to be able to call anybody I want to and know that my bill will not go up.  Love it!

February 14th

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I am very thankful to still be happily married to my hubby.  It will be 20 years this June.  Love you baby :)

New friends.  I am so thankful that they boys are making new friends at their new school.  They were very happy to be giving out valentine's today.

For a sweet little care package from Gord's parents that arrived in the mail today.  Perfect timing and very thoughtful.

My oldest boy was very sweet today when he got home.  He offered me one of the treats he received today because he knows they are my favourite.  Love you G

February 13th, 2012

It has been almost a year since I took the time to make a post on this blog.  So much has gone on in our lives.  There is part of me that regrets now that I didn't make sure that I made the time.   Never the less I am here today and grateful.

Today I am grateful that I have my family together.  Being able to have Gord home every night makes the move and all the turmoil over the last few months worthwhile.

For the sun.  Sunshine makes me smile.  It warms my heart and brightens my day.  I am always thankful when those rays peak out through the clouds.

Monday night soccer.  We have found a free program for the boys to run around and get rid of some energy.  Both Gabe and Zach got goals tonight!!

A new blog.  I am grateful to be getting back to writing and having some wonderful ladies join me.

Not having to pay to put out my garbage!! We used to pay for every bag we put out, so free is awesome!!

Wednesday March 2nd

Wednesdays are a great day for me :)  Well, usually anyway.  Weigh in can sometimes put a damper on the morning, but other than that, it is one of my favourite days of the week.
So what am I grateful for on this first wednesday of March?

My older sister!  I love her to death.  She almost always spends her wednesday day off out at my house.  God love her!  It is always a highlight to my week.

For free programs!  Lately my two oldest boys have been going to Gym Jam on wednesday nights.  They are loving it!  I will be sad next week when its over.  It is a program run at the school gym where they go and play games and run around for an hour with other kids their age.  The nice thing is that they are in 2 different age groups right now so they each get their own time.  AND ITS FREE!  Awesome!

A great day for hubby! It has been a long time since hubby has come home with a smile on his face.  What a very pleasant change :)

For good weather.  I had to drive into London and back in the afternoon.  Roads and traffic were good.  Made for an easy trip.

A yummy dinner.  It was just Chicken Breast, Mini potatoes, a bean medley with carrots, and a piece of Garlic bread, but it was really yummy.  Also helped that I didn't have to make it all myself :)
